Who's Truly Great?

Truly Great! If one is truly great, one will love all humankind! One will love the good and bad amongst all humanity. The good will be loved with pride, admiration and joy. The bad will be loved with pity and sorry, for one will know - if truly great - that both good and bad qualities of people are often but the results of circumstances over which they have, because of their ignorance, little control. To be truly great, one will be compassionate, sympathetic and tolerant. When compelled to pass judgement upon others, one will temper justice with tender mercy, throwing oneself always on the side of the weak, the uninformed and the poverty-stricken. Thus one will not only go the extra mile in a true spirit of fellowship, but will also go willingly and graciously. And if the second mile be not enough, one must go the third and the fourth, and as many additional miles as may be necessary. - Napoleon Hill (Master Key to Riches)

The Greatest Formulas in the World

I am neither a mathematician or a physicist (or anything close!) but I can appreciate the great things people have done - 100s even 1000s of years ago when they stared at a dark abyss of ignorance. There are arguments on some formulae's discovery but that is left for posterity. (It's a magical world and your children better learn to love numbers - and you can be instrumental in making them love maths!) The greatest - also because it is the simplest - is the one by Pythagoras. (570 - 495 BCE)  (It is also credited to the Babylonians as it is to Indians' way back in 1000 BCE etc.) a 2 +b 2  = c 2 Wow!  The greatest can always be argued. But few will disagree that Einstein 's theory of relativity is there at the top! e = mc 2 In school when we were explained this formula - it was simply "energy can neither be created or destroyed!" Nothing about the speed of light. But then we are too naive... Simply put it means that energy is equal t...

Here's to Theo I saw him after a month, he is now into his fourth month. Last month I saw him during his Baptism. He slept through the whole ceremony but he did smile one time at his mother. I  saw him yesterday, and actually on the day before. As a bonus I got to see Litin and Irene' son too, all of 8 months plus and more grown. So I had the opportunity to see life taking form in human form. Theo was awake sometime with two grand fathers, myself a grand uncle, my sister and the father and mother and I saw the making of a perfect little human being. He might turn into anything but you can say, he had everything going for him and that is a good start. I wanted to write about life infiltrating the frail infant's body. I saw him sway his hands and legs uncontrollably. I saw him forget the right way to drink milk from the bottle. I saw him smile a lot. He could stay awake longer. He could gurgle and coo like a baby. He was. He tried to converse with this grandfathers and grand...
